Had a wonderful few days at Max’s place a great retreat from the hustle and bustle. The pool size is the highlight and kids had a wonderful time in it. Neighbours and staff all super friendly and helpful and checkin/checkout was very easy. Great location down quiet drive but close enough to restaurants and beach. Would definitely recommend

This was the second time we’ve stayed at this villa in Canggu. It’s a great location. Close to some of the best restaurants and cafes. The villa is a perfect size for families staying together. The staff are all so friendly and go out of their way for you. We will definitely be back again. We’ve loved each and every time we’ve stayed there.

Stay at villa Ganesha
We enjoyed our stay at the villa but when we arrived and wanted to put it drinks in the fridge, the fridge was dirty and there was a black sticky substance on some of the shelves. The hob was also covered in some black soot and it hadn’t been cleaned. Also none of the TVs were working when we arrived and although we were told this would be repaired but none of them were repaired whilst we we there. There was also a strong sewage smell in bedroom two and we were not sure where this was coming from. Despite these issues we did like the villa and made the most of our stay there

I'd like to start by saying that Villa Ganesha is beautiful and the rooms and pool are lovely. There were some issues that I'd like to highlight. When we arrived at the villa it was late in the evening and we just wanted to relax and go to bed. We went into the kitchen to put some water in the fridge and found this black sticky stuff on some of the shelves in the fridge. We also found the remnants of food left from previous guests. We had to clean the whole fridge out before we could use it. We also saw that the gas hob had not been cleaned and there was a black soot like substance over the whole hob. We had to clean this too. I had read some of the reviews left by out guests and one mentioned that there was a 'sewage' type smell in bedroom 2. This was very evident when we were staying there and we could not figure out where it was coming from. None of the TV's worked and this should have been checked before we arrived. They were not repaired during our stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights in September 2023. The place is better than the photos show. The rooms are great and the swimming pool is a standout - it’s definitely more of a traditional style Balinese villa which we loved. We booked it late notice and the staff made a real effort to get the place ready on time. The kitchen isn’t amazing but it’s got everything you need. This place is great if you’re looking to chill around a swimming pool and still have food places / amenities near by. The villa is at the bottom of a alleyway so it’s tucked away from the main road. Would look at using again if we headed back to Canggu.

This place exceeded all expectations! Extremely spacious rooms with a lovely dining area, garden, and pool. We were blown away by how tranquil and calm it was, while still being super close to lots of cafes and the beach etc. The hosts were extremely responsive and even helped to organise a breakfast chef and private massages. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back again :)

This place is indeed stunning when you arrive: pool, decoration, architecture… but this house suffers from little to no care of its owner. Equipments from the house look good in picture but are mostly in need for change. Some severe maintenance issue spoils the experience and prevents you from enjoying the place in complete serenity. 1/ The master bathroom is unusable due to the strong smell of sewage and burping pipe noises. We had to stop using it because of that. 2/ The wooden terrace is worned out and dangerous. It has pieces moving and rusty screws sticking out. This is super dangerous for kids running on it. 3/ We suffered nuisance from the very close neighborhood (construction noises from 7:30am to 9pm and neighbors burning their trash & fumigating the house). 4/ Some sheets were stained and had holes. 5/ We also advise not to trust the Conciergerie’s aesthetic services which reveal to be bad. All of these had been reported several times and nothing has been done.

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Ganesha with our four teenage children! We spent a lot of time at the villa relaxing and enjoying the amazing pool and beautiful garden. Putu came daily to make beds and clean and was always so helpful with anything that we needed. The location of the villa was also really fantastic and really close to restaurants and shops. Thank you Max we look forward to our next holiday at your place!

I very much enjoyed staying here, we were two family’s with two kids and they accommodated us very well. Pool is fantastic, Ike’s we’re easy to hire and just a short trip I to the heart of canguu. Amazing restaurant down the road, Gente, fab brunch up the road, another lovely quality Indonesian and all within walking distance. We felt cared for.. super friendly, check in and out was flawless. Would stay here again.

If you're looking for an awesome pool with a big living area, this place is awesome! The pool is large and beautiful and the villa is a great size. The place was very clean and the bedrooms were in good condition and very well air conditioned. We had great communication from the concierge who met us at the Villa and even gave our driver instructions on how to find the place. The kitchen is a little tired but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, so we never used it anyway. There is also a convenience store about a 2 minute walk away and Splash is about a 10 minute walk. The villa is not really walking distance to the beach but if I had my time again I would have downloaded the Gojek App (Indonesian version of Uber) earlier and used them from the start of the holiday - they are cheap and reliable. Overall a great experience and Max was good to deal with.

We had such a wonderful stay at Villa Ganesha. The place is just as it looks in its photos- actually even better! It is spacious and airy with large bedrooms and lovely bathrooms. The pool is amazing! Its really big with a deep end one end and a sloping ramp at the other. The check in and out process is very easy. Big thanks to the lovely Vani who checked us in and arranged scooters to be dropped off all within an hour of arriving. She also organised transport for us at the drop of a hat. Management were excellent to deal with. All in all I would highly recommend Villa Ganesha. A little bit of paradise!!

Second time staying at this beautiful villa. The location is perfect for what we wanted, out of the way enough but super easy to get around using grabs and scooters. The staff always friendly, clean and Villa very well designed. There was a slight issue this time.... they are building a brand new villa next door which wasn't there the first time we stayed, must have gone up in the last 6 months, meaning the villa is now overlooked by a huge window that sees straight into the pool area. Not ideal for young women sunbathing in bikinis.... we had issues with construction workers also noting the building noise all day. Would suggest a tree needs to be put up in that space to create privacy once again. HOWEVER the price did seem less this time, perhaps to reflect this inconvenience so still gave 5* across the board. We also had an issue with our airport transfers not being arranged properly. Only one car vs. the two we asked for. Everything else was good. Thank you Max and team.

The Villa was amazing and had great views; loved how helpful the staff was any time we had a questions they were prepped with answers and helpful advice. My issue is the location of such a beautiful place is not the best, majority of the happening spots of canggu required a vehicle to transport to and was not equipped for walking at all. The road leading to the Villa needed tending to, as when it rained it got super muddy and was difficult to see when it was dark. Also, the ventilation in the living room was quite still, since it was an open space I half expected the area to have well circulated winds or air but it felt stuffy despite the weather being not that terrible right around the pool.

Horrible stay, we were dreaming it to finish as soon as possible. Villa Management Company is quite rude and talking to you with threathening manner. Non stop invading privacy, villa is quite worn out with problems and near noisy construction; - there was no one agreed check in time, we have been waiting under rain for an in dark street. - no hot water for 3 days - no water for a 1 day -sheets with dirty stains - dead animal (gecko) under sheet - no maid available as advertised first day - stranger employees entering Villa and invading our privacy without notice or permission - maid is listening private conversations and carrying word around to Villa Management Company -walls have water leakage inside causing smell in rooms - construction noise literally 2 meters away till late night everyday - maid is walking around house making up stories creating drama. -Host; Max tried created fake stories to be able to charge extra. -they came to checkout with 3 people, threathening us!

A piece of private paradise in amongst the best Canggu has to offer. The pool and villa exceeded all expectations - so much room for a family of 4 to spread out, relax and play. The girls (10 and 12) loved having their own ‘wings’. You can walk to so many good restaurants in all directions, including Finn’s if feeling fit. The staff were beautiful - attentive but not intrusive. All queries were answered promptly and nothing was too much trouble - I celebrated a milestone birthday here and had a masseuse, pedicurists and a chef visit on the day! The meal was incredible and we were even surprised by the host with a birthday cake serenade at the end! A brilliant experience and perfect return to international travel - thank you Max, Putu and team!

My best friend and I stayed here upon arriving in Bali. Our driver Gusto was ready and waiting at airport despite the late pick up. Check in and check out went smooth. The location is tricky but we had daily massages in our rooms, our driver gusto was amazing. We truly loved our stay, very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean. Wonderful stay with my husband, mom and sister for 4 nights in Canguu. The concierge was very responsive and accommodating. The Villa was very clean and the cleaner came 2/3 days along with the maintenance for pool clean. The Villa common area is great for relaxing and very comfortable, the kitchen is also well stocked. The location is fine, but if you have scooter access it is a short distance to the main areas. As it is at the end of a road beside homes and an open construction site, it can be quite noisy at night. Overall a great stay for our first visit to Canguu.

The villa was perfect. Beautiful, exactly as pictures. Bedrooms v big, bathrooms and changing room/wardrobes excellent. Open plan sitting space was lovely. All very well equipped. The housekeeping was a terrific surprise… daily cleans and the lady was lovely. Pool was stunning. The concierge service was just brilliant… they responded within minutes. We used ‘GRAB’ to get around. V cheap. Great location. We loved it and would highly recommend. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at the villa however we found the staff and the amount of messages we received to be overwhelming and distracted us from really enjoying our holiday. The gardener appeared every day to do general maintain on the property such as cutting the grass by hand which was very awkward when you were trying to use the pool. I would expect this to be completed when people arent staying or at a prearranged time. The cleaning lady also lingered around the property for hours which we also found weird. On top of this we were bombarded with messages and question about when we would be checking out. The villa was nice overall however needs a lot of maintenance and cleaning. There are marks and stains all over the walls and other guests hair in the stones in the bathroom.

This villa is even more beautiful in person! It is spacious, clean and perfect for a Bali tropical paradise holiday. Max was extremely helpful in his communication, as well as his amazing staff catering to all of our needs. We were able to get transfers arranged and even have massage therapists come to our villa with such ease in organising. I would definitely come back to Villa Ganesha, or even try another of Max's properties in a heartbeat!

A truly wonderful space to spend a few days in Canggu. Well positioned for many lovely restaurants and cafes, in the middle of the hustle and bustle yet a little haven down a dead end road, peaceful and private. A welcome relief from the buzz of Canggu! We would definitely return. Putu took great care of us in the villa as well as Putu the concierge who was readily available to help with any questions! Thank you for a memorable stay. Only note - each bedroom is completely separate from the main living area. For those travelling with very young children this may or may not be suitable as no connection between bedrooms other than via the outside/pool area. Master bedroom is HUGE and includes a great additional day bed suitable for one child.

Me and 4 of my girlfriends stayed in Max's property for a 10 day bali holiday and it was absolutely perfect! We all loved the villa and staying there. It was in a local but quiet spot. We had a fabulous time at Max's Villa Ganesh! It was large enough yet private for our big group. Having access to a swimming pool was obviously great to cool down in the Bali heat. Communication was on point and Putu the concierge was great at organising things/activities for us when requested. It made the whole experience stress free.

Wonderful place in a quiet area close to great eating options and shops. Our 3 kids loved the giant pool and relaxing atmosphere. We couldn’t be bothered leaving and enjoyed sitting by the pool eating deliveries from Ulekan and Milk and Madu - even though they were super close walking distance!

Max’s place was beautiful and I would definitely return if I were to stay in Canggu again. It’s within easy walking distance of restaurants and easy scooter or grab distance from bigger places in Canggu or Seminyak. Lots to do, but in all honesty, we struggled to even leave the villa. It was beautiful, the pool was gorgeous (and massive) and the living area really well equipped. We could just be and relax and hang out. It was exactly what we wanted! Every room is en-suite which means that there is no small room or single room and the main room had a daybed which they kindly made up for us as a toddler bed so it’s good for families too.

We stayed 2 nights after our week stay in Gili Meno before heading home. The location is great, just walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Also an easy address to order in. Because we weren't gonna do much except to relax, the concierge for other services like massage and mani pedi made it really convenient, along with the good sized pool (rare in Canggu) - great for the adults n kids. Staff were helpful and easily contactable. Max was always checking in on us to make sure everything is well.

Incredible, stunning villa with every amenity you could possibly want or need. Each room is very spacious with own large ensuite, lots of privacy from each other, fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous maintained garden to enjoy whilst splashing in the pool (which we used everyday!). Great for family groups, couples or groups of friends. Excellent communication from host and concierge. Villa staff were lovely, welcoming and extremely helpful. Plenty of nice shops and cafes within walking distance. Would happily return to this little slice of paradise on our next trip to Bali!

Villa Ganesha is located in Berawa, Canggu. It was a very central location and easy walk to many awesome restaurants (Milk and Madu and Calle being my 2 favourites). Not too far to walk to the beach either or super quick if you have a bike or can get a Grab there. The Villa is stunning, walking through the beautiful doors the first time takes your breath away! The pool is the biggest I have seen in a villa which was great for the kids! The 3 bedrooms were spacious and all had walk in robes or a huge wardrobe and their own bathrooms. The master suite was huge and had a Daybed, box of toys and tv and dvds in it. Their was heaps of kitchen appliances although I only cooked breakfast a couple of times. Putu the housekeeper can cook breakfast for a fee for you but we found the price expensive compared to eating out and think for the price per night breakfast should be included (like it has been in other villas we have stayed at). The villa also has filtered water available which is great when staying in and it’s easy to order dinner to the villa via Gojeck or Grab. The villa is also close to splash water park if you have kids (5 min cab ride). All in all a fab stay and highly recommend Villa Ganesha

We absolutely loved our time at Max’s villa. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the house had everything you would need to have a great holidays. The pool was absolutely outstanding. The Villa is nice and close (walking distance) to all the food shopping and activities you could need! We would highly recommend staying at Villa Ganesha!!!

Air condition was not working on one of the days, technician came within an hour after we reached out to the staff. Turned out to be just a power trip. Villa provided mosquito repellents candles which smelled really good. Would come back to host’s other listings!

LOVED our stay at this incredible villa - pictures don’t do it justice! So relaxing to just lie by the pool and the indoor space with the dining table is a great place to share a meal or play cards. Location is great; short walk to great cafes and restaurants & supermarkets and pharmacies. Made it very hard to leave!

Great House - nice design , amazing pool, but a few quirks. The house is beautiful, but for 9 of the 14 days we slept in one room due to aircon not working in the one room and the other room, main room, the mattress is so old and bad that we can feel the wooden base, which resulted in back pain and nit a great sleep. We did inform the staff but they just apologised and did not really do anything about it. Last, the other room where we mainly slept didnt have hot water for best part of the stay. So overall it was not great. Lovely house but not a great stay.

We stayed 5 days in Villa Ganesha. The location is perfect and very close to good restaurants and shops. The pool is huge and we could enjoy long swimming sessions with our little one! The villa was perfectly clean and nice eqiupped. Putu was very kind and the communication was great. We can definitely recommend Villa Ganesha for holidays with the family and friends!

This place is perfect in every way, from the initial communication to the friendly, helpful and welcoming check in. The place is furnished to a high standard and wonderfully maintained, spotlessly cleaned daily, fabulous pool, great location and a breakfast worth the extra £3.50 per day each cooked how you wanted by the wonderful housemaid. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful, relaxing villa with the most heavenly pool. The villa staff were excellent in tending to our requests and we even had privately cooked Indonesian style dinner prepared for us one night. The place is super clean and within short taxi to many great restaurants and bars. Highly recommend for a chilled holiday.

Many thanks to Maxime for arranging our airport pick-up, as well as for the villa management's team for being super responsive and helpful when needed. One of my fellow guests really liked the fruit stand in the kitchen, and within the hour, the staff had provided a few options of where she could purchase a similar item. Keep in mind that the famous bars and restaurants (Deus Ex Machine, Finn's) are not super close, but there are many affordable transport options available, so this was a non-issue. All in, the villa was extremely comfortable and we would recommend Villa Ganesha to anyone travelling to Canggu.

Great Villa in Canggu with AMAZING onsite staff! Ayu, Eta & Agung made our stay very enjoyable. My family of 4 (2 adults, a 4 year old & baby) felt safe and were very well taken care of the entire time. The staff really went out of their way to ensure our visit was an enjoyable one. Thanks Ayu, Eta & Agung! Hope to see you again soon! The only feedback we have for the villa owner is to maybe have the villa manager visit once or twice a week just to check in. We never really knew who to contact (Maxime, Villa Manager or concierge) if anything came up and only met the manager on our 2nd to last day of a 30 day stay. We also didn't know we had access to a concierge until week 2. Leading up to the vacation Maxime had amazing and quick communication. Very helpful in coordinating our arrival. There was one mix-up during the stay but he rectified the problem quickly and to our satisfaction. All-in-all a great villa, staff, location & experience. Thanks again for hosting us!

Our stay at Villa Ganesha was fantastic! We came to Bali many times before but this villa was by far the best we ever stayed at. Maxime was a great host, very friendly and responsive, he answered all our requests and needs quickly. He arranged for us massages at the villa (amazing), a private cook (we loved his indonesian cuisine!), and a car rental with a private driver that took us to the beautiful Jatiluwih region and its surroundings. The villa by itself is just beautiful and very peaceful. What a delight to come back here after a long day out discovering Bali. Also the villa's staff was great and very helpful showing us the area, taking care of us and preparing breakfirst every day. We highly recommend this place. We are already planning our next trip to Bali and we will definitely come back to Villa Ganesha in Canggu. Thank you again so much for such a wonderful holiday.
