We had a wonderful time at the villa. The housekeeping and each service was really good. Everybody is kind. The breakfast we booked one morning was amazing. Overall a good place, 20-25 min by taxi or scooter to the beaches and nightlife. Everything is cheap. I strongly recommend this address.

Villa Stella is a wonderful spacious villa with a large undercover living space and kitchen (Bali bale) overlooking beautiful mature gardens down to the pool. We loved the large pool and collecting the mangos as they fell from the large trees while we lounged around the pool. It’s quiet and the four bedrooms with en-suite all equally spacious. The villa is not in a pedestrian friendly area so perfect for those who are happy to unwind. We ordered fabulous take away dinners from White Stone which a Balinese friend highly recommended and let the Villa cook our breakfast. Perfect for four Melburnians who needed time out. Thank you Max 🙏🏻

I stayed in the villa with my family. The swimming pool and the space of the rooms, kitchen, bathrooms and living room was enough to keep all the family together but also with some privacy. The person in charge of cleaning and dealing with customers was very friendly and professional. We were staying with kids but they provided additional beds for them to stay in every room, which was very kind. We forgot one of our charges and they sent it back. Some cons: The parking had a very narrowed access for family cars. considering the capacity of the villa is expected to have one big car or several cars but the parking was for only one car. The safes were a bit hard to open and they required using a key. the doors of some rooms were are to choose / open To sum up: it's an excellent place.

The Villa was beautiful and our host was excellent . The space is open and lots of wonderful places to sit . The pool was very refreshing. Our host arranged massages in the villa and the breakfast was great also. Aircon was very good in the rooms and beds were comfy. Would definitely stay again .

This villa was perfect for a group of friends to stay in. The pool area and garden is absolutely beautiful and the covered jogolo area for eating and lounging was ideal for a large group. We spent a lot of time at the villa so we really enjoyed this. Sri, the housekeeper, was so kind and helpful. She cooked us some lovely breakfasts and meals. Thanks Sri! We organised massages at the Villa which such a treat. The place is tricky to find and very out of way to get to restaurants etc. One couple had a scooter for getting around which was ideal. Taxi trips could take ages depending on the traffic! The Villa does not show up on any online maps but Bali Bagus Homestay is extremely close so we used that to book taxis or get food delivered. There were a few maintenance issues that needed to be addressed (safes not working and bedroom doors hard to lock) but overall I would say this place was excellent value for money.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour chez Max ! La villa est vraiment superbe avce de beaux espaces extérieurs ; les chambres sont grandes avec un coup de coeur pour les salles de bains en pleine nature qui donnent un vrai charme et une expérience inoubliable. Rien à dire sur la propreté. Spéciale mention pour l'équipe qui nous a accompagné durant tout le séjour, ils étaient très réactifs et toujours prêts à nous trouver des solutions. Je tiens tout particulièrement à adresser mes remerciements à Sri, notre merveilleuse cuisnière qui a été d'une bienvaillance et d'une gentillesse sans précédent avec nous. Les petits déjeuners étaient exquis (je vous conseille l'indonesian breakfast avec le fried rice). Sri a été très présente pour nous, toujours prête à nous aider, à nous rendre service et à nous conseiller. On l'appelait "Maman Sri" :) Une très belle rencontre ! Je n'hésiterai vraiment pas à revenir dans cette villa !!!

Great place, kids loved it, the host was very responsive and helpful. It’s a good 4km - 5km away from the main areas in Canggu which is easy enough in a cab however not walking distance to heaps of restaurants. Overall was very happy with the villa beautiful spot.

Overall villa was gorgeous. The pool was huge. The hospitality also great, thanks to gek sri already taking care us during breakfast. The access to villa was a bit tricky, especially the alley, only 1 big car size (innova). Had some trouble on electricity as well the water, but their team can quick respond of my complain.

I really enjoyed the stay, the staff was very proactive and the concierge was helpful in arranging massages, bikes and transport very easily for us which was brilliant. Rooms were very big, modern and so were the bathrooms. Pool was nice and spacious with comfy sun loungers but jacuzzi is broken unfortunately. Only negatives were that the lounge and kitchen were completely open so no AC in any communal areas or when you are having breakfast and also a fair amount of bugs around all the time in those areas. Each ensuite bathroom also had an open wall so again was open to any insects and animals getting in. It was definitely nice to hear the sounds of the outdoors but was not so nice fighting off giant flying insects before a shower. Location was central however 30mins to a max 1hr20ish bike away from any main activities like in Ubud or any beach or waterfall and traffic is a killer.

we hebben onze eerste 6 nachten op Bali gehad in deze villa. de villa is schoon, en mooie kamers. zwembad is ook top. alleen met kleine kinderen is de rand ernaast een beetje gevaarlijk. ook snachts hoorde je vaak de honden van de buren blaffen, en dan heb ik het over 4 a 5 snachts. verder was de cleaning lady heel vriendelijk en heeft ze lekkere onbijtjes gemaakt voor ons (tegen betaling uiteraard)

Worth it and recommended!
The villa was very worth it when I stayed there. The pool, the cooking equipment, the bedrooms, everything is perfect. The villa really captured the nuance of being in Bali. I just wish the entrance is easier to access. I said this because the entrance was too narrow, which makes it harder for cars to enter or park. Other than that, everything was fine by me.

Looks exactly like the picture Max posted. More importantly the house the swimming pool the bathroom are are all clean. The arrangement of the living room and the dining is superb. It is open yet private. Private yet open. My family loves the place so much . The staff are very helpful and very friendly. I can’t thank thank them enough for waiting on us as we arrived very very late on the check in day. I highly recommend this place or any other place that Max has in Bali as he himself is a good host. Good and fast response from him everytime i I send him messages. During our stay he took the time to suggest some places in Bali to visit. Thank you Max for having us in your house. 🙏

The place was beautiful. It was exactly like the description. Max and his team were so kind and helpful throughout our visitation. Every equipment was fully provided. The pool, the bedroom, and every angle of the house were clean. My only suggestion to give is the entrance to the place. Hopefully, the entrance can be easier and more flexible to find in the future. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this to anyone.

Ons verblijf in Max zijn villa was super. De tuin, zwembad en het zitgedeelte zijn mooi en komen met de foto’s overheen. Het buitentoilet en douche was een geheel nieuwe ervaring voor ons, we hebben erom gelachen, maar was eigenlijk prima. Airco’s werken goed, alleen we missen een klamboe. De keuken man een update gebruiken indien je zelf wilt koken. Voor ons niet nodig, maar mits je deze plannen hebt. Ideaal voor een grote volwassen groep.

This was a beautiful hidden gem. Little bit nervous coming up the driveway but once you walked through those doors it was like stepping into a whole new place. Amazing gardens around the pool. Very relaxing and quiet. Staff where amazing. The only thing I would suggest is making the beds a bit more softer and add more pillows.

Nice villa design (matching with online pics) despite some seriously dangerous stairs between the dining/family room and the 4 lower bedrooms. Service-wise; a really helpful lady in charge of the house cleaning and cooking, Mbak Sri. But a slow-to-answer and incompetent villa manager named Willy. From the beginning until the end of our stay, they were, for example, not enough forks or chairs (9 chairs but one broken and dangerous that was in a locked room during first day) for the 9 guests. That is despite several reminders. Several doors were damaged (from the previous guest according to the story). People came twice to repair them and each time, their repair lasted for a few hours to one day. Some of these workers came directly in one bathroom without asking if anyone was inside (and there was someone inside). Overall we would not recommend this villa as all these little issues are not allowing guests to relax as expected.

Would highly recommend her cooking services and she has great recommendations for anything you need, whether it be food, transportation, or just local tips.

This villa was so amazing, we stayed here with a large group of girls! The garden, pool and living are so large! Perfect for hanging out and entertaining. The decor was modern with Balinese accents. Overall we would stay here again, definitely a gem of a villa.

Die Unterkunft und die Villa waren sehr gut, genau wie auf den Bildern! Die Zimmer waren auch super, auch das freie Badezimmer war ein Erlebnis. Man muss jedoch damit rechnen, dass das eine oder andere Insekt im Zimmer ist, da die Türen nicht komplett zumachen und diverse Insekten durch die Schlitze durchgehen können. Vorsichtig auch bei der Buchung von Touren, die in der Infobroschüre in der Villa stehen, die Taxifahrer zocken einen sehr gerne ab.

It’s a perfect place if you are a big group or family who just want to chill. The rooms are so clean, the bathrooms are big and outdoor which is really nice. The pool is perfect for both fun and relax. And onces you get a hang of the adress, it’s easy to take a grab to town. The villa is big and nice and we really loved our stay here!
