Villa was extremely big. We love the swimming pool so much that we swam every night. Villa had a portable speaker which was great as we are able to vibe to music daily. We requested for breakfast and it was prepared to us without any issue. The security guard post was station right outside our Villa thus we felt very safe. Overall it was a pleasant stay in the villa. Big thank you to our host Dewa for answering all our queries and requests.

We loved our stay at Marula Villa. It is beautiful and well kept. The cleaner came in everyday and did a great job at keeping it clean and tidy. Dyan met us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a great stay. The Villa is really quiet, relaxing and very secure with security outside the door. 10-15 minute walk to Seminyak Main Street but closer to other restaurants/cafes/supermarket/massage etc. Would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed my stay at Max’s house, it is a beautiful and peaceful villa . The Only thing I didn’t like was the local people outside was very loud . And we couldn’t play music because they complain. So depends what your plans are you will enjoy 100% of it . The villa is more familiar than going to your friends type of plan . Thanks anyways, my favourite part of the villa was the master bedroom and its bathroom.

Also great having the local drivers nearby for whenever we needed to go anywhere, as well as felt safe with security nearby too.

Die Villa war neu, schön eingerichtet und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Pool und Garten waren ebenfalls sehr schön. Man kann zu Fuss viele Dinge wie Restaurants, Bankomat und kleine Läden erreichen, das Meer ist eine kurze Taxifahrt entfernt. Das Haus ist ruhig in einer Sackgasse gelegen. Max ist ein sehr angenehmer und professioneller Gastgeber. Wir können die Villa sehr empfehlen!

Las instalaciones preciosas, todo decorado con mucho gusto y con mucho mimo para pasar unas estupendas vacaciones. Max es super atento y amable y está disponible para cualquier consulta sobre la villa. A nuestra llegada nos recibió Dyan, quien nos dio la bienvenida y nos enseñó todos los detalles y servicios que ofrecen en la villa. Desde cocinero privado, encargándose de comprar el aprovisionamiento para elaborar los menús, conductores para excursiones, facilitan alquiler de moto, hasta masajes en frente de ma piscina. Nos hemos sentido como en casa y ojalá poder repetir la próxima vez. Todo ha sido positivo y han conseguido que pasemos unas estupendas vacaciones en Villa Marula. Recomendable 100%

All staff were amazing and couldn’t have done anything more to help, faultless! We continued to use the recommended staff into our next stay in Ubud. Would recommend, and definitely will return. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle villa alliant modernisme et style balinéen. L'espace extérieur à côté de la piscine est très confortable et agréable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien décorées. Les salles d'eau sont grandes et fonctionnelles. Nos hôtes nous ont organisé nos trajets et une excursion. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir et conseillons cette location.

Sie hat immer gleich auf unsere Nachrichten reagiert und einen super Service geboten. Ein besonderer Dank gilt Yanty! Die tägliche Reinigung der Villa hat sie immer mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen, sehr gewissenhaft erledigt. Auch ein Dankeschön an Dewa den Driver. Er hat immer gleich auf unsere Nachrichten geantwortet und hat und immer und überall hingefahren und abgeholt. Wir kommen wieder und empfehlen die Villa zu 100% weiter!

The bats did create a little mess the next morning but we loved watching them at night & fantastic cleaner cleaned up every morning. Location is brilliant & although you can walk our drivers through the management company on hand for us all day with brilliant advice & days out. Felt Max & the drivers made our holiday of a lifetime

The villa itself was exactly what I expected. However, it was not peaceful at all. The villa is the first one in from the road and from 6am till very late at night, approx 10pm, there were constantly 4-6 men sitting right outside our villa doors. These men run a transport business, they apparently lease the spot right outside the villa, and are very loud. They sit right outside of our open bathroom, on the other side of the wall so it feels very intrusive. At first we believed they were villa transport as they would pounce on us as soon as we opened our door. As you can not Gojek/ taxis etc from the street the villa is in, you need to walk up end of street to wait for these. On our 4th night there, up on the corner of the street, one of us had our bag ripped from our arm from a passenger on a motor with phone and money stolen. Apparently the fifth person to have this happen to in this spot this week! Therefore, felt pressured into using the drivers at our door in fear of our safety.

Tolle Villa, sehr sauber. Max und das Personal super lieb, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir wurden sehr gut umsorgt und alle sind sehr hilfsbereit. Entsprach absolut 💯 unseren Vorstellungen und den Angaben. Jederzeit wieder gerne und nur zu empfehlen! Zum Glück etwas ruhiger, da mehrere Villen in der Gegend und somit nicht zu viel Verkehr. Trotzdem ist man schnell auf der Hauptstraße bei diversen Geschäften und Restaurants.

A wonderful location behind the gate on a small side street in a quieter part of Seminyak. The villa is in excellent condition and we loved hanging out by the pool morning/evening watching birds in the garden. Very easy walk to shops and restaurants, and beach. There is also a lovely coffee shop at the end of the road serving good coffee/shakes/breakfast. We really enjoyed the chill time here before flying on to our next destination. The taxi drivers outside are also helpful and ready to drive you where you want (for the same cost as Grab but keep it local). Dylan and staff were very helpful for an earlier check in and looking after us during our stay. Thank you Villa Marula team :)

Rooms were extremely clean. Staff cleaned the rooms everyday. Location is very prime. Accessible to everywhere. 24/7 security infront of the villa. Unlike the beautiful and clean rooms, the kitchen was very dirty. The kitchen and living area are exposed. Kitchen utensiles, plates, glasses were dirty. Since the property is exposed, lizards were surfing around on the walls, roof and on the kitchen counter. There were also bats in the property that were flying around the roof. The coach beside the pool was also very dirty and we couldn’t comfortably sit on it. They have put few water bottles (glass bottles) in the washroom and it said “mineral water” on it. My girlfriend and I had that water for drinking and we got extremely sick. We asked doctor to come in and each we paid $600 for the doctor visit. When I asked about the water bottles from the property manager, they told me that the bottles were for brushing tooth not drinking! But the water bottles said mineral water on it!

Dyan helped us check in/out, she made sure we were comfortable and was the friendly face we needed when we arrived and left. Xanthi left the whole property spotless every single day and was always happy to help out with whatever we needed in the villa. Place was terribly maintained - white towels were grey from being old - cups in the toilet had stains - bed sheets and pillows had stains - rooms had a musky smell - floor slightly dusty - floor mats were all stained and dirty - fridge was not clean - laundry service was overloaded but did not inform us. Only subsequently they sent someone for laundry service - bats come at night and make a mess, if there is no housekeeping (on Sundays) the mess by the bats are left there. Very unhygienic and was not made known before the stay - local taxi service was not allowed in that area - overpriced for the quality. One of the worst villas I’ve stayed in.

And we were forced to use their own taxi service and not allowed to use Gojek or any other transport service, of which was not in the contract...but then, we already booked, beforehand, a transport service...

Love the ambience and the pool! Not to mention all staffs were super friendly and helpful. They have 24/7 security right in front of our villa. Never feel safer stays in airbnb before. The 24 hour security outside the villa were very friendly and helped when we needed transport and scooters. The villa was in a perfect spot, situated in a quiet street not far from the centre of Seminyak. It was a very spacious villa with large bedrooms and entertaining area. The staff were very helpful and kind, organising airport transfer, early check in and a driver upon request. The security out the front of the villa was very reassuring and made our group feel very safe. The villa was cleaned every second day, whilst we were out which was a wonderful service and made it feel like we were staying in a resort. We look forward to coming back and staying at Villa Marula.

Fantastic villa really well situated in Seminyak. Brilliant concierge service who booked beach clubs for us. Really lovely pool and day bed area to relax in. Loved the daily service the lady was a real joy to have around and really helpful. The facilities at the villa were excellent and we loved having the security outside - especially with the kids.

We booked Villa Marula for a 1-month stay with 3 adults and 2 young children and we highly enjoyed our stay. Max, Desy and their team managed all of our many requests promptly, efficiently and they fixed any problems that we faced. The team had solid recommendations for places to visit and for any services that we needed. The cleaning staff were thorough and the breakfast service was really convenient. The swimming pool was a real highlight for the kids and we got a lot of use out of it. The villa is tastefully furnished and laid out, though the master bedroom could use a facelift. Another minor detail, the TV hangs above the Kitchen so it is in an awkward spot and we couldn't use it for the kids. In terms of location, the villa is in Bidadari which makes it easily accessible to Seminyak as well as Changgu and surrounding areas. Worth noting however that the local Bidadari transport authority has prohibited external taxis (e.g. Metered Taxis or Gojek) from pick-ups in the area, essentially trying to force residents to use their local (more expensive) taxi services. This resulted in some heated discussions on the street. This by no means reflects on the Villa Marula team as it is out of their hands but worth mentioning for any guests planning to visit. Overall we would highly recommend the Villa Marula for a family considering a longer term stay near Seminyak.

Me and my friends had a wonderful experience staying in Villa Marula. The ambience was very nice; we love the design of the villa. The pool side lounge was our favourite spot because we found it unique and eye catching when we first saw the picture in the listing, and it turns out that it was very cozy. The staffs were so kind and thoughtful to us. The electricity went out but the staff immediately took care of it. The location is bery strategic. Kitchen amenities is very complete and they also provide ice which was nice because we could enjoy a few glass of cold drinks. The price for us was a very good deal and we would definitely stay here when we visit Bali again sometime soon. Thank you so much Maxime and Villa Bali Management!

Villa Marula is one of the best villa we’ve ever stayed. The Pool is amazing, with glass walls that you can take picture under water. My kids really really lovee it. The villa is well maintained, very clean and everything we needed was there. The location of the villa is a plus too. Also security guards 24/7 in front of the villa make us feel safe. We had a wonderful month long stay. Maxime & the manager Desy very heplful and responsive. Bu Yanti, the staff is very friendly, she cleans 6 days a week. Very fast to response and available for anything that we need. We were even able to book a massage at the villa. Overall, we’re really happy with our stay and looking forward to come back here again!

The villa is a very nice place to stay. The pool is quite big and long enough and the relaxing space is spacious. I’d say the venue is safe as the security guards were 24/7 in front of our villa. The security guards were friendly and so were Mrs. Desy and the housekeepers. Maxime, the host is very communicative too. The water dispenser and the coffee maker were not working well and I thought they were going to fix them but they suprisingly brought us brand new dispenser and coffee maker instead! Will definitely come back as this villa is very homey especially for a big family like us!

The villa is quite spacious just like in the picture, the decoration and interior somewhat photogenic. Just maybe some statues and paintings isnt for everyone. The cooking utensils is quite complete, and so as the dishwear, we had everything we need. 24 hours security in front of the villa is great, they also help to arrange our big rented car to find a space to wait eventhough the street is not that big. Location not too far to go to mainstreet where there is warung nuris and gusto, plus if you just want to gojek the food, many nearby resto is available. It is comfortable if only 6 people staying, we were 7 ppl and was asking abt extra bed which cost 200k. actually there is extra bed available in the villa just not sure abt the cleanliness and no extra linens and blanket, so we didnt use it. There is a big clothesline which very useful for us to hang swimwear etc. Disinfectant spray and hand sanitizer also available in the villa (for covid concern).

This is a great place in Seminyak to host a large group. Fits three couples very comfortably in 3 separate structures. In the center there is a beautiful pool, and amazing lounge area. There was a kitchen that was equipped with everything we needed, and nice dining area. There is 24 hour security outside the locked area; and these guys will arrange a car for you and make sure you don’t overpay. Breakfast provided if you say 4 nights or more.

Communication was prompt and thorough. Check in & out was easy. Staff was very competent. Location is in proximity to everything you need. This villa is well-designed but shows some wear & tear. The pool is beautiful. The air con works very well. If you are a person (like us) that wants to be able to catch a Grab or other on-line transport, this is not the place as the “taxi mafia” sets up camp right outside the front door and will harass the Grab driver if he pulls up. Other than that, everything was fine.

My friends and I had a GREAT experience at ”the Villa Marula”. Bali is beautiful and we took in all the sights and fun that Bali has to offer but what made our trip extraordinary was Martha and her staff, and our amazing villa and the amenities that was offered. Martha and her staff made sure we were pick up from the airport and taken cared of at check in. After that we took advantage of all the amenities that was offered. We used their staff for breakfast every morning which was delicious also for most of our dinners. It was restaurant quality with restaurant service. Another amenity we used almost every day was the car service. Agus our driver was so friendly and he helped us plan our days so we saw all the attractions and did all our excursions smoothly. The hardest thing to do our whole trip was leave our villa to go and do our excursions. The Villa Marula is a Zen and serene sanctuary where we would get up every morning get into the pool and never want to get out. Breakfast would always be ready by 8 (our choice) and when we’d get back from our day of experiencing Bali we would come back to the cleanest villa and end our day where we started it....in the pool. Maxime is a great landlord. He has a professional team who can immediately handle any problems when you live at the villa. My family and I stayed here for 2 days and felt very comfortable. At the first day, we didn’t have enough cash for picking-up cars, his manager named Iruh borrowed us one million personally. At the last day we originally should check out at 12:00 according to airbnb booking, but our flight was scheduled at night, Maxime and Iruh offered us extral hours staying for free. Thanks very much. What a nice trip.

We highly recommend this accommodation. We were a group of six people, three couples, visiting Bali for two weeks. All the time during our stay in the villa we were satisfied with everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The villa was beautiful and was cleaned everyday. It is perfectly designed for six persons (3 couples) with a cosy atmosphere. Its location is quiet but close to everything you need. The beach is about 10 minutes far by scooter. We would like to emphasize that the communication with all the staff went very well and they were very reliable. We think that we are lucky to have chosen this accommodation. We kindly thank everyone there for the unforgettable time.

This is a great villa to stay in. It is very well maintained and it excellent condition. Maxime was very easy to contact before and during the stay. There are services available to the guests which are very useful and it is easy to organise transport from the security outside. Would highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning in the future.

What an amazing Villa! I can only recommend this place to everyone. It's just as beautiful as shown on the pics. And there's an entire team of service personnel that will help you with everything you need. Of course, things like the driver service, laundry service, breakfast are not included but it's very affordable and highly recommendable. Our driver became a friend and even if it is a little more expensive than the local cabs to go with him it's just so convenient and more fun. The laundry service is great and you don't need to be afraid of having them ruin your cloths (at is the case in some other places). The breakfast (especially the Baline Nasi Goreng) is perfect with abundant amounts of fresh fruit. Plus: you get quite a lot of nice things for free at the Villa: drinking water, coffee, tea, fruits and fresh towels. And electricity is included. So is there anything not so good? Not really much. We had quite some mosquitos but that's not the owners fault. And if you have trouble with the noise of nature you might dislike the geckos' noise by night. Just be prepared to meet some animal life that naturally occurs here (like lizards, cats, squirrels, bats, huge shiny Bugs, ants and the one odd cockroach). It's like a botanic garden including the wildlife. I loved it. Finally, the Villa is located in a great area (Seminyak) but if you want to walk to Restaurants or the beach it's not fun to do. Better take a cab. And our final recommendation: try the traditional Balinese massage at the villa just next to the pool! It's so good!

Absolutely 100% perfect stay. The four of us didn't want to leave. The rooms are beautiful, the beds and pillows are so comfortable snd smell amazing. The photos really doesn't do it justice. The place is perfect. Our kids said "mum I think we should ask is we can live here". Already so many friends have asked for the details after we posted photos. We will definitely try and stay in this villa again. Taxi driver, Wayan from outside the villa was lovely. We walked to the main road in Seminyak and did some shopping. All,in all, above average stay. Highly recommended

Villa was great, 6 adults stayed comfortably here for a week....would also be good for well behaved children too. A 20min walk to Seminyak's busiest street full of shops, cafes, bars, nightclubs and restaurants, plus plenty of places much closer to eat & drink. Concierge right outside the main door to the villa can also organise a taxi in minutes if needed. I'd highly recommend a stay here. Maxime was great to deal with also, great communication and very helpful. :)

Villa Marula is even better in real life compared to the photos. We had a very enjoyable stay. The villa manager gave me a mobile phone so that I can reach her whenever I need anything which was great. My family and I had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone. What a beautiful Balinese style villa. It is not bang in the middle of Seminyak but it is close enough to the shops and restaurant. Getting a taxi through the security guard is easy enough. Maxime was a great host. The communication is sometimes delayed as I can imagine she is busy as she is managing multiple villas. But just message her again and she will reply.

Villa Marula looked exactly like the pictures had shown it to be, and the daily cleaning staff were helpful and friendly! Even when one of the air-conditioners broke down, the efficient maintenance staff fixed it within hours. The driver (Made) recommended for us was also knowledgeable and friendly, who went the extra mile to find us in the middle of Jatiluwih rice terraces when it started raining heavily. With the driver, we were also minutes away from great shopping places, like Seminyak square, Jalan Legian and Jalan Oberoi. Every day, drinking water was provided with our rooms, dishes and even clothes cleaned! Thank you so much for hosting us!

Apart from the horrendous check in process where our booking was mixed up and we were informed only half a day before and had to change to another villa last minute, we did not get to stay at the villa we booked. Upon arriving at the other villa which the owner had asked us to go to, no information was passed on to the staff. No one knew that we were checking in villa kiki instead. The villa was not ready for us to check in. Maintenance works were ongoing , floor was dirty. Contact person lluh told us that we did not have a booking, told us to leave the villa. Upon discussion, was rude and hanged up on us. We were left stranded there for a while until the house keeper brought out a folder with contacts. Extremely grateful to Yohana who then helped us to settle in and our stay on was great if not for this unfortunate event. Please improve on the booking system so that no one else has to go through the same terror we faced.

100% worth it! Everything was just beautiful and clean. We didn't have any complains at all. The place was extremely beautiful, well organized, and just a peice of paradise. The staff was so sweet and nice. Check in and out was smooth. We even had meals cooked at the villa for an affordable price. Will definitely come back!

We we're so pleased with Villa Merula, this villa is even better than the photo's, the lovely manicured gardens give the villa such a tropical feel and Yanti the housekeeper cooked us an amazing breakfast each morning, of bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and tea/coffee/juice. We love the traditional Balinese layout of the villa, it was just beautiful. Thank you to Pierre for checking everything was ok for us. We'll be back.

Maxime's property was located close to shops and restaurants in Semniyak. The staff was friendly and adjusting to our needs. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. There were a few hiccups dealing with the manager at times as she manages a lot of properties it seems but all in all we enjoyed our stay at Maxime's villa. We won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else. Thanks Maxime.

Die Unterkunft war ideal für unseren Urlaub. Der Service ist absolut überdurchschnittlich. Man hat eine eigenen Haushälterin die einem für einen super Preis Frühstück macht und jeden Tag (ohne weiteres Entgelt) das Anwesen reinigt. Ansonsten ist der Service die Größte Stärke der Villa. Man bekommt beim Check in ein Telefon mit dem man kostenlos die Managerin erreicht die für einen jegliche Concierge-Services bietet. Von einem Fahrer über eine Massage bis hin zum Ausdrucken der Boarding Pässe wird alles schnell erledigt. Alles zum fairen Preis oder kostenlos. Einzig die Englischkenntnisse können manchmal etwas hakelig sein, aber Nichts was man nicht irgendwie hinbekommt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, trotzdem ist man nicht weit vom Center in Seminyak entfernt. Die Unterkunft war exakt wie auf den Bildern abgebildet uns sehr sauber. Natürlich ist man nicht im kalten und es rast auch mal ein Gekko über den Boden. Das ist aber auch irgendwie cool und klar bei einem so offen gestalteten Wohnbereich. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und der Gärtner kommt alle zwei Tage. Die perfekte Familienunterkunft für uns.

Cleaner /gardener and pool guy always made sure the place was looking fresh after we would come back from a long day out .

The Villa was just as it appeared in the listing. We actually got more than we bargained for as the Concierge (Johana) was always there when we asked within minutes and willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Arrival was plain sailing and we were settled within minutes of arriving. The House Service (Yanti) was just sensational. Always smiling and trying to be out of our way, we hardly knew she was there. A Villa supplied phone for our use was a great idea and came in very handy.

Everything about this villa was amazing! We were in bali for work and we were constantly rushed to get to places but we are so glad we decided to stay here instead of a hotel because we got our much needed relaxation time. The area is very private and quiet and we felt very safe because there was a security guard outside of the villa 24 hours a day. The housekeeper was very nice and she kept the place always very tidy. The pool or this villa in generally was much bigger than I expected. I would definitely come back here next time with a bigger group of people. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Die Villa Marula war einfach nur grossartig und genau so schön, wie auch auf den Bildern ersichtlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und auch wenn es kleinere Probleme gab, waren alle sehr bemüht, diese schnellst möglich und optimal zu lösen. Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl in dieser wunderschönen Villa gefühlt und möchten uns auch noch herzlich für das Entgegenkommen bei Problemen bedanken!

I can't begin to praise this villa and Maxime enough. Photos do not do it justice!! Everything was perfect. The location is in a quiet area yet walking distance to seminyak square or a short taxi ride. The 24/7 security out the front made us feel extremely safe and the housekeeping were so lovely and accommodating, Even cutting up fruit for us daily. The villa itself is amazing. Great aircon in all three rooms, a comfy bed and the Showers had great pressure and temp. The pool was amazing!! In the sun all day until about 3pm and then started to shade a bit which was a nice change. The wifi was strong which is so rare for Bali. Maxime was the perfect host, despite being on the other side of the world he was so attentive and replied as soon as he could. Whilst we couldn't meet him, Illuh the manager was so lovely and helpful! Honestly couldn't ask for more in an airbnb.

Me and my friends had a wonderful experience staying in Villa Marula. The ambience was very nice; we love the design of the villa. The pool side lounge was our favourite spot because we found it unique and eye catching when we first saw the picture in the listing, and it turns out that it was very cozy. The staffs were so kind and thoughtful to us. The electricity went out but the staff immediately took care of it. The location is bery strategic. Kitchen amenities is very complete and they also provide ice which was nice because we could enjoy a few glass of cold drinks. The price for us was a very good deal and we would definitely stay here when we visit Bali again sometime soon. Thank you so much Villa Bali Management!

Perfect stay for family
I stayed 2 nights at the villa with my family (2 infants). They provide us baby chair. The staff and security was also nice and helpful. I recommend Villa Marula if you need a place for family 💕
