Oasis in Paradise
What a fabulous unit. The Wi-Fi works well and the swimming pools is fabulous. There is a well appointed kitchen where you can cook your own meals or have them prepared for you. Rooms, bedding and bathrooms are clean and spacious with communal areas functional and comfortable. If you enjoy the freedom of having a conformable home away from home, close to the action but away from the daily hustle and bustle, Villa Orchidea is a great option.

Great place to stay and close to everything I needed. I Would definitely stay here again. Villa and pool cleaning was promptly done while I was away on day trips and the communication with the property manager was amazing. Only thing that could do with improving is another ceiling fan in the communal area, air cons are quite high on the roof and maybe not as cool as I'm used to and the water pressure in the toilet is quite bad but that seems to be a regular issue I've read in other reviews. All in all a great stay for 4 nights.

Villa Orchidea was the perfect place for our stay in Seminyak. Only a short walk to the beach and central to everything, but far enough off the main roads to avoid the regular hustle and bustle. Communication with Max and villa management both before, and during our stay was excellent and the villa Stuff could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend Villa Orchidea if you are looking for a villa that offers authentic Balinese charm, in a tropical setting with modern amenities in a central location. Thank you Maxine, I hope to stay with you again in the future.

This villa was a beautiful place to stay in Seminyak. The entrance is down a very narrow alleyway and all of our drivers had a hard time finding it (I think the location is not properly marked on Grab maps) but this wasn’t too big of an issue. We loved the pool, though we didn’t get to spend much time in the common areas because it was so hot while we were there and those spaces are not air conditioned. The space was clean and we appreciated the crew who came in to clean and tidy up daily.

stay was nice. we had some friends over and they'd wanted to check out how the villa looked like as it was their first time in Bali. They stayed for barely 30 mins as they had plans to go to the beach. Max was extremely uptight about it and even made a report to Airbnb about this visit despite multiple explanation about the event and what happened. I felt the reaction did not have to be blown up and he could have also gotten his ground staff to double check what I'd explain.

We had a great stay at Villa Orchidea thank you so much! We were greeted on arrival by Iluh who was responsive throughout our stay and kindly organised breakfast for us at the villa and other services. The villa is private and very spacious. Everything we needed was provided and I would definitely recommend staying here. Also walking distance to the beach which was great.

The add on services such as massage /private cook/ airport transfers was a welcome addition. booked spa session for my wife and MIL for 2 days straights. worth the price! the only thing that I can suggest to improve is: the aircond could use some maintenance, not as cold as I hoped it would be. and the toilet flush could be better, the flushing strength is below average, we need multiple flushes to get the stool away 🤣🤣

The villa’s location was awesome. Close to everything and it’s easy to catch a ride when you need one. Quiet at nights so you don’t feel like you are right in the middle of Seminyak. It was very spacious and comfortable. I rented specifically this villa because it wasn’t a modern cause I wanted to feel like I was in Bali. So I didn’t mind that it was a little bit rubdown cause it was very well maintained. It felt authentic. The concierge was very helpful & friendly. It was very well worth its price. Would love to stay there next time for sure.

Villa Orchidea was a great place to kick off our Bali vacation! Everything was easy from the beginning with the arranged airport shuttle. The communication with both Max and Putu (the villa manager) was fantastic. We had a small issue with the power when we arrived and Putu got to work and fix it right away (we are talking this happened at 2 am). And the day after Max offered a free breakfast for any inconvenience we might had had (which btw, was delicious)I mean world class service! The rest of the staff is very friendly, respectful and thorough. The villa is as you see on the pictures. A fantastic quiet space to get away from the busy streets of Seminyak. However it is still very close (walking distance) to many restaurants and to the beach We had a great time and we would definitely recommend this place!

They thought about everything in advance so any questions we had, we would look and get an answer in the villa. Cleaning happens everyday like an hotel. Swimming pool is cool. Value for money is there. Don't think, just book!

Orchidea Villa was just what we we’re looking for in Bali . A lovely retreat from the busyness of Seminyak. It wasn’t that hard to find at all. The pool was great, gardens looked after and everything clean. Iluh and her staff we very helpful and friendly. As a super host myself, I know how hard it is to retain this status. But Max and her staff do this easy. Thank you and hopefully we will return soon

The villa is absolutely beautiful, feels even more spacious than in pictures and the pool is amazing. There is a water dispenser in the kitchen, which is a huge plus. The location is ideal: quiet but close to everything you might need. There are lots of mini markets, restaurants and cafes in the area, 10 min walk to the beach. The villa has its one concierge service so it feels like a hotel. The staff is friendly and polite. They clean everyday, reply super quickly and ready to organise day trips, massage, yoga, cooking classes etc. We had one accident: my husband stepped on a piece of broken glass in the pool. They came immediately with a first aid kit and organised cleaning of the pool the next day. We also got a free massage for both of us at the villa. Little downsides: a water pump/generator behind the pool makes loud noise during the day, water pressure in the toilets is too low, pillows can be more comfortable. Overall, however, an amazing place to stay.

We stayed at Villa Orchidea for three nights and couldn’t imagine a better place to relax and enjoy the vibe of Seminyak. The villa is very spacious, stylish, clean and well equipped with a special highlight being a private full-size swimming pool. At first It might be a bit challenging to find the exact location of the villa since the street that leads to it is a bit too narrow for a car, however, it has enough parking space in front of it allowing for comfortable maneuvering. As for those who prefer to walk, they will find Villa Orchidea’s location perfect since it only takes several minutes to the beach as well as to Seminyak’s main street with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops. All in all, it’s a great place to stay on Bali and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect two bedroom accommodation with tropical vibe in the heart of Seminyak.

Super nice villa located close to everything you need in Seminyak, however still felt private and peaceful. True (or even better) to the pictures. We were picked up at the airport, arranged by the host which went very smoothly. The staff welcoming us were really helpful and welcoming, and replied quickly if we needed anything. Great and efficient laundry service. Would love to come back some day.

WOW WOW WOW!!!!! After a 10 night stay at Max’s beautiful apartment, we were really not ready to leave. The Villa is stunning and exactly like the pictures! It’s spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. The pool is your own little oasis and perfect for jumping into after a full day of exploring Bali. Down a quiet street, you only have to walk 2 minutes to be in the hustle and bustle of Seminyak with lots of great restaurants, boutique shops and spas. The beach is only a 10 minute walk and perfect for watching those amazing Bali sunsets. All the staff working in and around the villa were wonderful and extremely polite. We honestly cannot think of single thing that we would have improved! Thank you so much to Max and the team for our fantastic stay in Bali. We will certainly be back in the future.

the place is very nice; at least as nice as shown in the photos. tasteful decoration, spacious and very clean - helped by having housekeeping next door. the housekeepers were friendly and accommodating, it was assuring to have them so close. note that this is part of a managed property portfolio as so may places now on air bnb turn out to be. so our interactions were not with the host but with a "manager" (or really, several managers depending on who was on duty). the manager seeks copies of your travel documents on arrival, and along with others they check how youve left the place on exit so allow time for that. not all the various interactions were positive or personble for us but I am not assuming ill intent from anyone.

We enjoyed our time at the villa. It was nice to come back in the evening and enjoy some time by the pool. The air conditioning in the bedroom was also refreshing after a full day of activities in the hot sun. The villa is an easy walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops. It's also an easy area to get a taxi if you want to visit other areas on the island. The concierge was able to arrange a tour to Nusa Pineda which was much appreciated and was very responsive when we had questions. The maids were very kind and helpful. Overall, the villa is a great place to stay if you want an easy walk to the beach and the staff are all wonderful to deal with.

Max was a great host and has a great team that supports his air bnb on the ground. We had some issues with plumbing and a plumber came immediately in late hours of the night and it was fixed the next day while we were out for breakfast. The street was very safe and was walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach. It was also very quiet at night! We would definitely go again, thanks Max and team!

The accomodation was beautiful and match the photos exactly. We felt tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. The location was not far from the busier areas of Seminyak - walking distance if you don’t mind a 15 min walk in heat or easily accessed by taxi or private driver which you could book through the villa. We loved being able to retreat back to the villa after a long day of exploring. There were cleaners everyday who tried to clean when you were out of the villa as to not to disturb you. It was lovely come back to a pristine villa and new linen after a long day. The concierge service was so response 24/7, they made everything easy. Could not recommend this villa more!

The villa is great! Very spacious, beautiful, give you a feeling of being at home! Exactly like it is on the pictures. Very convenient for stay with little kids: we had baby chair and cot for free. Our baby crawl everywhere because it was very clean floor at the villa. Staff is very friendly and cleaned villa every day. Location is also good: we could go to the beach with a stroller and it took about 10-15 minutes walking. All our needs were immediately managed. Minor minuses: it was some noise from construction outside and there is a smell of sewerage at bathrooms, but it’s really minor compare to all great advantages of the villa. We loved it!

We had an amazing stay in villa Orchedia! The interior is beautiful and the pool big and so nice. Even the plants and trees are beautifully done. The rooms are big and the beds are so comfortable. We can’t recommend it enough. We also enjoyed that it was close to The Cabin Coffee shop where we had good food and the owner and employees were the best. Situated down a quiet, peaceful alley the villa is an amazing oasis that is within walking distance to the colourful streets of Seminyak. We loved our time at this Villa & felt so lucky to spend some time there - it's absolutely beautiful. The space is awesome! Travelling for the first time with our 8 mnth old baby, the Villa staff were so helpful with arranging transfers, baby seats etc. Beyond this, there was always someone to communicate with to request info, arrange massages at the villa etc. Our favourite aspects of the Villa were the open plans/private beautiful rooms/ Filtered water/ ammmmazing pool & lush gardens, geckos! location..We'd definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back sometime soon.

Max’s villa was a really lovely oasis in busy Seminyak in the middle of the hectic Christmas/ festive season. Beautifully appointed, relaxing big couches in delightful open living spaces, artistic touches, clean and refreshing pool, quiet aircon, filtered water freely available, spacious bedrooms. Great space for 3 adults. Despite an early issue of not being able to see the driver organised for pick up at the airport (there was no wifi access at the airport to assist communications) Max’s staff were very accommodating and patient and greeted us warmly on arrival with a refreshing drink and plenty of information to make our stay in Seminyak a relaxing one. Thank you Max and team!

The space is lovely and is just as its pictured. We enjoyed our stay although we encounter a few issues: - All running water smelt of sewage and did not leave us feeling very clean - There are numerous people running the Villa which made communication quite confusing. Staff is as follows: 1. Putu - Villa concierge who reached out to us prior to our arrival 2. Dyan - Who checked us into the Villa 3. Desy - The Villa manager that we were not aware of until our last night - On our last night, we came home late to find that one of the cleaners locked our bedroom with the keys inside. We reached out to Dyan who sent us Desy’s # to resolve the issue ourselves. After about 30mins, the neighbor came by to let us in. No one apologized😢 - We followed instructions inside the Villa that said to leave clothes in the hamper to get them cleaned, but our clothes were never cleaned Overall, the Villa was nice & spacious, but due to the about issues, we would unfortunately refrain from booking again.

We had an amazing stay at the villa - the pool area is stunning, you really feel like you are in paradise. A large part of the villa is open to nature, even the bathroom, so you really get that Bali feel (along with some wildlife!). The staff were lovely and allowed us to leave our cases there all day after checkout. There is daily cleaning, a concierge service and it’s in a great location, only 10 minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and shops. The only downside which is out of anyone’s control was the building work going on next door - it started at around 8am each day and did wake us up a few times so just something to bear in mind. This hasn’t impacted the review however and I would definitely recommend the villa if you’re staying in Seminyak. Thank you Max!

Absolute Privatsphäre, da geschlossenes Grundstück. Sehr nette, englsch sprechende Mitarbeiter, die auf Wunsch einkaufen, das Frühstück zubereiten oder auch leckere, balinesische Gerichte zubereiten (gegen sehr fairen Aufpreis). Sehr liebenswerte, freundliche, immer hilfsbereite Menschen. Sobald sie ihre Arbeit erledigt haben (Zimmer und Aussenbereich auf Vordermann), ziehen sie sich für den Rest des Tages zurück.

The staff is really what made our stay even better. Everyone from the villa manager, the maintenance or cleaning staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Location great from Beach all good to walk however in evening some café nearby had live music till about 11-12pm that was less nice when you wanted quiet night & early sleep. But overall good value for money and very friendly staff.

We were blown away by this villa! It is so much bigger than in the photos! My husband and I stayed here for one week with our toddler and it was perfect. We requested a bamboo fence around the pool, a pram and portacot for our 21 month old and they organised everything for us. The villa was really baby proof too. The staff were so lovely - we can highly recommend their breakfast! We also hired them in one night to cook dinner for us and all of our friends and the food was delicious and so the price so reasonable. The pool in this villa was so amazing and always the perfect temperature. Loved the outdoor daybed too. It was very easy to walk to the beach (maybe 10-15 mins) from here, the minimart was just a few minute walk away as are small restaurants. Not far from a busy street of restaurants too but we did have to catch taxis to Ku De Ta etc...less then 10 mins in a cab. Loved the small touches like the local mobile they left us with credit to call Dessy the manager, who was only too happy to organise whatever we needed for us. Would definitely stay here again. The staff were definitely a highlight for us and they were so sweet to our little boy. Thank you!

IF, however, someone books the villa right next to it (connected by a large wooden gate) you may be subjected to hearing their conversations and their choice of music at their preferred hours. I had some quiet days where no one was there, and some days where I was at the mercy of neighboring guests. Still, I’d most likely stay here again.

Thanks so much Maxime for giving us the opportunity to experience your beautiful Villa we loved it the moment we walked in! It was Much bigger than expected! With a very warm relaxing vibe to the place! It was right in the middle of all our favourite places we found it very convenient to walk to everything! The staff where lovely & very hospitable! Some great Warongs we ate at everyday up on corner! The only thing we could say we missed was a microwave because we love heating up left overs! We booked this villa very last minute after some flight changes and we are glad we did! The house is full of character and such an amazing space for our family. Our boys spent all day in the pool while we were able to lie in the sun and relax. Was walkable to some great little eateries - coffee a few metres away and fresh juices every morning. The ladies cooked a lovely breakfast every day and cleaned the whole house daily. They arranged our pool fence, babysitting and tended to every request almost immediately. We felt so relaxed here in our little oasis yet could walk to the beach in about ten minutes for sundowners on the sand. Loved this place!

Wir haben zu dritt 10 Tage hier gewohnt und es war einfach nur perfekt. 10 Minuten Fußweg zum Strand von Seminjak, jede Menge bezahlbare, gute Restaurants gleich ums Eck, sehr relaxed. Die Villa ist wirklich gross, der Pool so, dass man richtig schwimmen kann, Privatsphäre für beide Schlafzimmer, wirklich toll. Hier könnte man noch 10 Freunde einladen und eine coole Party feiern, die Räume sind echt großzügig. Jederzeit wieder, sehr zu empfehlen!

We really loved this villa. It's very spacious, with lovely decor and a pretty garden. The pool is superb - nice and big and a good temperature. The location is excellent as you can walk to about three main shopping strips and the beach. The lane it's on is a dead end, so there's almost no traffic noise, which is unusual in Seminyak. Warung Kecil at the end of the lane is recommended. There is a bit of noise from a band playing at a local bar until eleven or so at night, and the birds who start early, but it didn't bother us. Staff are lovely and cook a great breakfast if you pay for the ingredients. Maxime is an excellent host and communicator. We would definitely stay again as this is a real oasis in a crazy part of Bali!

Maxine's place is great - location, amenities and the staff were fantastic. Maxine was quick to respond and the villa has everything a family needs for a great holiday. The housekeeper Iluh took care of everything from laundry to moped hire and sorting out a driver for day trips - we didn't have to do a thing which makes for a great holiday !!!

We booked villa orchidea but were actually given a different slightly larger villa on arrival which was just next door, we think! Finding the place was a bit of a struggle, but once in we had a lovely time. Great value for money. Beautiful place with everything you need in seminyak within walking distance.

Villa Orchidea is absolutely stunning and the photos don't do it justice! Iluh, who helped check us in was so friendly and went out of her way to help us with anything, I cannot speak highly enough of her. The pool was amazing, the villa was very clean and the cleaning staff accommodated for our request to come later in the morning so we could sleep in and lay around in private. The outdoor bathrooms were pretty luxurious too and we even had massages and treatments done at the villa. Would love to come back and stay again :)

This is a lovely villa with wonderful house staff. We were well looked after and no request was a problem. The only small issue we had was that our driver couldn't find the villa and there was no sign posting, it took an hour and a half of searching before he located it. The villa is walking distance to some great restaurants. The first night we had a fair bit of noise from some partying going on around us, but the following two nights were quiet. Unfortunately it rained for two of the three days we were there and couldn't use the beautiful pool, but the kids were happy to watch some of the DVDs we'd bought on the very comfortable daybeds.

The staff were all lovely though. Also we had requested a third bed which never appeared, otherwise 5 star villa.

What a gorgeous villa! We stayed for a week mid-January with dear friends who were visiting us from the UK, along with their 15 month old little boy. The lovely ladies who came in to clean every morning were very good with the baby. We arranged with them to cook us some traditional Indonesian meals on two of the nights we were there. So much food!! Plenty of leftovers the next day and nice to be able to spend time in our little sanctuary rather than battle the busy streets of Seminyak. The villa itself is so much more than what you see in the pictures! Tucked away down a little lane you walk into an absolute oasis. We needed to hire a pool fence for peace of mind and were delighted to see that it was a rustic bamboo style and not a clinical metal looking fence. Fitted in with surroundings perfectly! There was a comprehensive folder for us to refer to if we needed it, which we actually did when our friends had to call a doctor for the baby. Yohanna (who met us on arrival) also left us with a mobile phone with a small amount of credit on it in case of emergencies. Tucked between Jalan Camplung Tanduk and Jalan Drupadi, the villa offered easy walking distance to either Kuta or Eat Street and the main drag of Seminyak. The Cabin coffee shop at the end of the lane offers tasty food and takeaway Bintangs, and there is a Mini Mart a further 50 metres up the road. Also recommend to try the tiny warung on Jalan Drupadi towards Buzz Bakehouse. I had the most amazing traditional drink there, a refreshing concoction of tamarind, ginger, turmeric and lime. My husband and I would definitely love to come back again and stay here, either just us or with other friends. While it caters to families really well, for us, no kids next time!

They were just overall very nice people. They made an amazing trip that much better. The villa is located right near town. 5 minute walk to everywhere (bars/beach). I highly recommend staying here.

This Villa was absolutely stunning. Staff was amazing and extremely helpful. Anything you need, you just need ask. It's also relatively close to everything or just a short cab ride away. The beach is within walking distance. I guess the only complaint I really have is that the street where the villa is secluded and therefore hard to find for any guests you may have stopping by. However that little inconvenience is nothing compared to what your actuality getting by staying in this Villa. I highly highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa. It really is gorgeous, and as others have said, the photos don't do it justice (Maxime, take note!) Location wise, we caught taxis most of the time as it is super hot and the pavements are quite ropey. For $1-$2 you are in Seminyak Square, or 10 minutes walking if you are more robust than me. The great thing about the location is that you are close to the action, but it is super quiet. Didn't walk to the beach, but apparently that is 10 minutes walk away also. We discovered that Maxine also owns the villa next door, if you needed a larger and combined villa. The other villa was similarly decorated and very lovely. Both villas have full sized pools, not just plunge pools. Very good housekeeping during our stay. Stay slightly marred by a mix up with pick up (I recommend getting the villa manager's number and having this to hand in case of any issues with your pick up...) and with the air con. It would have been good if it was a little cooler. But minor niggles for what was a wonderful week. A few restaurant recommendations too, try Metis and MamaSan, both incredibly good! The Cabin, at the end of the little street, did a good pizza if you want something plain, and Buzz Bakehouse around the corner does excellent coffee and pastries. I defy anyone to stay in this villa and not want to stay on forever, it is really is very special!

This is a beautiful villa in a perfect location. It's a few minutes walk to one of the main streets where you can eat/drink a wide variety of things. Maxime communicated promptly at all times and her staff at the property were lovely - they arranged scooters, a driver, laundry whenever we needed. The pool is also great and it was so relaxing to lounge around it before going out for dinner.

We had a nice stay at Villa Orchidea. The villa is well located close to "eat street" as well as the beach. It was kept clean by the great staff who also made us our breakfast. The swimming pool area was fantastic and the pool was great for cooling off after a day walking around town. The driver was really nice and I would recommend to use his services. Especially at night as the area is not really well lit. Maxime and the whole staff were easy to communicate with and quickly arranged what we needed.

The villa was brilliant and in a great location close to everything you need or want in Seminyak but quiet enough to relax at the end/during the day. The photos don't do justice to this villa as it looks and feels stunning! I'd highly recommend it to anyone and definitely would stay there again. The staff were lovely & friendly, even providing a mobile phone with the hosts contact details in case of an emergency (nice touch). All round great place to stay and brilliant value. Fantastic place for a short/long stay.

This is the most amazing listing that I have ever stayed at. The pictures do not do it justice. The space is beautiful, very clean and in a great location. The staff is also the best part of the experience. They are very friendly and helpful. They coordinated day trips for us and made sure that we always had everything that we needed. I cannot say enough how great the experience was. Definitely recommend and hope to come back as soon as possible!

What a great find this villa was.. It was so spacious with air conditioned bedrooms and superb open kitchen and living areas. The pool was excellent as a lot of pools in Bali villas can be more of a plunge pool, whereas this pool you can actually swim in. The four sun beds mean that with two couples, no-one is fighting for somewhere to lie back and sun bake. There are two day beds in the living area with overhead fans. It's a superb villa for relaxing without a doubt. The villa is deceptively private because it is located in a backstreet, but very close to Spa Bali and 10 minute stroll to Seminyak Beach. If you wanted to walk to 'Eat Street' you can in 15 minutes but then why would you do that when the taxis are so cheap. Miss Iluh welcomed us warmly and answered all our questions and is available on Whatsapp if needed.. I needed an iron one day, then we needed umbrellas and everything was sorted within 30minutes. I almost don't want to say how great this villa is as I don't want to make it difficult for myself when I come back to Bali and try to book it again, but it really is fantastic. It is better than we expected. Thanks Maxime, I could live in your villa without a doubt!

This is a very cozy villa which located in a quiet alley of the noisy center, with a special gate. Our family prefer it so much. From the villa to the center street or the saminyak beach within 10mins. Totally three days' nice stay there. Iluh and the staff who can speak English there is very friendly and hospitality. As our flight was arrived in the midnight, Maxime still contact instantly with me online and iluh also waited for us in the villa without complain. If we have second chance in Bali, we may still choose this villa in saminyak.

We had a great time here. The place was better than expected and the staff took care of our every need. From airport transfers, to organising a scooter for us to use during our stay being dropped off at our door. We were even given a cellphone to call the staff if we had any problems or requests. It definitely contributed to this being a great holiday.

Grate stay in Seminyak! Beautiful house, very kind staff and cool pool! We had a traditional Indonesian meal made by the villa staff and it was the best diner we had in Bali. When we reach the villa we thought that the house was better than it was in Airbnb photos! Thanks to all the people who made our trip special!

Maxime and the staff were above any of my expectations, they were fabulous. From the begining when I landed, i could not locate my driver and within minutes of contacting Maxime he sorted out and found him for me. The staff at the Villa cooked and helped with anything we requested or were stuck with. So polite and friendly. The villa itself, was bigger than we all expected. We had a great time. Thanks very much for everything.

Maxime & his staff did a great job hosting us at his villa. The villa was clean (and kept so), and had a great location. The A/C developed an issue halfway through our stay and he responded quickly to fix it. He also organized a driver for us for two days. All in all a very good experience.
