Villa Pagoda is a sumptuous private property made out of a 120 year old Javanese / Chinese antique house, located right in the center of Seminyak,
It offers 4 bedrooms (each equipped with its own private bathroom), 2 living areas, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Outside you will find a large swimming pool ( 4 x 16m long!) surrounded by a lush & luxuriant tropical garden, making it a perfect place to take a swim and cool down after a day out shopping or exploring all the Island has to offer.
This property is also fully staffed with daily cleaning 6 day per week, pool & garden maintenance 2/3 times per week, and provides Concierge services & emergency assistance 24/7.

Disappointing experience

Normally I tend to ignore the few small hiccups that happen during the stay, provided overall experience is good. However, in the case of this property, it seems everything was on the wrong side. For a start the villa is not what it is shown in the pictures. It is run down and needs lot of maintenance. The bathrooms at the back of the two rooms are not attached to the bedrooms and are open bathrooms with only a curtain for the privacy. Even the bamboo walls doesn't hide anything from the outside. Not a comfortable setting if you are staying in a group or with family. Swimming pool was not at all clean and even after the complaint nothing was done. AC in one of the bedroom was not working, fan in the kitchen not working again. No electric kettle, which now a days is standard in all hotels and villas. For boiling water there was only one broken aluminum pot, with no handle. I am sure you know aluminum pots are not good for health. There were too many mosquitos and there was no way to control them as the doors to the rooms doesn't close properly. There are huge gaps. Mosquito repellent bottles in some cases were found to be empty. There was too much dust and garbage behind the tables, by the side of the beds, and they were not cleaned even after informing. One day they even didn't clean the two rooms with the sitting area. All in all, a disappointing experience.
