As a couple we absolutely enjoyed this place. Everything was as described and pictured. Due to the weather pool was full of leaves and bugs, which is what was expected given the vegetation around. We loved the open bathroom and the amenities provided. Kitchen area was well equipped with basic necessary supplies. However, if they had a microwave, it would have been much convenient. All in all we definitely loved staying here, not too far away from Canggu city. At times traffic was a bit hectic but it’s Bali and is very much expected. Our only suggestion will be, please upgrade your aircon unit to higher capacity, it felt hot and sweaty at night even at lowest possible temperature setting. We will surely be back in future. This place is highly recommend for all travelers who wants to have peaceful retreat near by beach Cheers!

Lovely villa nestled in the peaceful and quaint Seseh neighbourhood. If you'd like a quiet and relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of Canggu and Seminyak, this is a gem not to be missed. It does come with its fair share of tropical bugs due to its proximity to nature, but the great service by the staff and the sublime views made up for it!

I didnt need them for anything because everything was immaculate and very easy to check in and feel totally settled and at ease. A perfect little oasis. Highly recommend!

Very charming villa in sleepy Seseh. Spacious for a couple or small family (we stayed with our 8 year-old and had a built-in sitting area converted into a bed), with a lovely garden and pool. You can order breakfast in advance and easily rent scooters for getting around from a very helpful staff. There are a few good restaurants and spas nearby, and of course Pererenan is only a short drive away. Recommend going a bit further up the coast for beach time. Thank you for a great stay, Max!

Horrible place and staff that will push all the blame to the guests
Booked the place for a 2 night stay. On check-in night, no ready staff and my partner and I had to wait in the dark badly lit place. We were shocked the bed was a nest for insects and a big bug was found attached to the bottom of the pillow with insect eggs left behind on the bed. Even with photo and documentary evidence, instead of acknowledging the issue the staff and owner, downplayed the issue saying it’s common to have insects and they were insect wings instead of eggs. They had the cheekiness to say unit was cleaned properly following a strict cleanliness standard. They made me and my partner wait past 12am before sending a team over to just change the bedsheets, the duvet and the pillow cases. One of the pillows were horrifically stained/soiled dark brown. Even with the pictures, the pillows were not changed. Bath tub which were supposed to be part of the facilities looked like it wasn’t cleaned for 5 years and could not used. The floaty that we rented from them was delivered late and was not setup for us eventhough during communication we confirmed would be. We had to DIY, but when we tried setting it up we discovered a hole. When we told true staff about this, again the blame was shifted to me for not telling them earlier. The whole experience was already too horrific from the start and the last thing we wanted was to have to justify our frustration and make the staff and owner see how unprofessional the whole operation was. I would never book this place or any property from Max again even if I was paid to stay in his property. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment. Consider yourself warned.

Really happy with our stay here! Beautiful villa and loved the pool. Seseh is a little way out of the hustle and bustle (about 20 mins scooter ride from popular restaurants/beach clubs) but it was quiet and lovely. Only the bedroom has air conditioning, and the living/kitchen area is semi-open so did allow for some insects/bugs/mosquitos to get inside. Besides that really happy with the stay :)

The villa matched its description but had an odd room smell. Disappointingly, the staff's service fell short. Despite confirming the setup for my proposal, it wasn't ready upon my arrival, making us wait longer. Once ready she gave a tour and it felt uncomfortable as she nudged us to unveil the surprise, immediately presenting the bill, which was overpriced. My fiancée witnessed the payment, detracting from the surprise I had arranged. To add to the disappointment, one balloon was damaged, poorly patched with black tape, making it obvious. Despite the extra time available, they didn't replace it. Furthermore, using black tape on white walls to secure the balloons left an unsightly mess above the bed. During checkout, a staff delay made my taxi wait, and the cleaning lady carelessly added pool tablets, splashing water, ignoring our need for assistance. The clogged shower drain wasn't resolved until I complained. Bugs everywhere due to the design of wood slabs. I will not return here.

Our stay at this place was just amazing. It was very clean, the furniture was so good. Beautiful garden and surroundings. The place where the Villa is, was just perfect for us. We could drive by scooter to Canggu or Seminyak or just hang around the Villa. You can just walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes! You hear the waves from your Villa. It‘s very safe place and there are also nice restaurants very close by. The host was very helpful with everything. It makes your travel much easier, you don‘t need to think about renting scooter or doing some activities. They help you with everything. The check in and check out with Dewa was also very good and smooth. I would def stay there again. Thank you for everything!

Nos encontramos con una desagradable sorpresa en esta villa. Al llegar nos encontramos la piscina totalmente sucia y verde, y medio vacia, basicamente no nos pudimos ni meter. La respuesta del anfitrión ante nuestras quejas fué enviar a alguien justo en el momento que ya teniamos que abandonar el alojamiento. Además en general no corresponde con las imagenes, no se encuntra en buen estado ni muy cuidada. La ubicación tampoco és buena, nada que hacer por la zona y lejos del centro. Si no te gustan los lagartos este tampoco es tu sitio habia muchos por todas partes y los más grandes que he visto en todo Bali. De agradecer que nos dejaran salir una hora más tarde para nuestra combianación de vuelos. En general no recomendaríamos el sitio.

Such a beautiful place that I thoroughly enjoyed. My villa was private, had an amazing pool to myself. Beach is just 5-10 minutes away. I personally did not like the food in the area but still had a great stay. Nice general store near by with smoothies, snacks and drinks. Max was an amazing host. Very responsive and helped me schedule multiple activities. Massage, hair braiding etc all came to the villa. Very convenient especially if you are not driving a scooter or bike. Would stay again!!

The check in was seamless. Super friendly and helpful. The villa was beautiful and the bed was super comfortable. Outdoor shower and bathroom was a nice touch. Filtered water, shower gels/shampoo, insecticide, beach towels and all the extras were great. Pool was a perfect temperature. Nice cafes within very short walking distance and a few restaurants around. Lots of construction around but you can’t hear it until you go out into the street. Taxis/grab/gojek (Uber equivalents) were super easy and friendly. Be mindful of the bugs and you’ll be fine. Highly recommend this villa!

Gesehen, verliebt, gebucht. Bereuen es keine Sekunde. Vom check-in bis zum check-out war der service und die Betreuung top. VBM war auch immer für uns da. Unterkunft wie auf den bildern und austattung wie beschrieben. Sauberkeit war sehr gut, aber bei der Bettwäsche und beim Sofa könnte es bisschen sauberer sein(ganz leichte flecken) Cafes und ein paar restaurants hats in der nähe, nichts wildes. Ruhig ist es auch. Mit dem taxi sind es 1h nach ubud, 1h zum strand bei seminyak, taxi kostet umgerechnet rund 14€. Kommen gerne wieder

Obrothers cafe very useful for food as was Seseh Pizza. Would not go back as so much lacking in the area. Great if you want a retreat and nothing else.

Lovely Villa. Max and Putu were extremely helpful and quick at replying and sorting our transfer from the airport. The Villa is about 20min car journey away from the main streets in canguu but it’s easy to get a grab to the front door. Would recommend.

It was a great place! Super close to the beach, a nice coffee place nearby, and very friendly staff with prompt responses! There were so many ants in the villa though. I guess that’s what eco friendly setting has to come with. We visited some places Canggu main area which was approx. 15 mins car ride from this villa. If you plan to travel back and forth in a day to Berawa or to where those beach clubs are, travel time should be considered. Despite travel time, it was super quite and not busy at all! So if you are looking for a peaceful villa to chill and relax, you won’ regret ◡̈

The location is nice and quiet with a few great cafes and beach bars nearby. We also did the beach walk into Canggu on a couple of evenings, which takes around 20mins. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at Max’s place. The villa is clean and looks exactly like the photos. It’s a 15min scooter ride away from Canggu. There are a couple of nice cafes within walking distance. The manager, Dani, was extremely helpful and friendly. We left our house keys at their villa after checking out and Dani helped to arrange for delivery to the airport at no extra charge.

Not quite I expected
Located ‘near’ Canggu which is away from all the noise. However meaning away from convenience as well. Had to go through two times blackout meaning cut down of electricity and water for several hours for my our two day stays. Staffs were there to communicate. Last day, staff was to come for checkout but didnot show up so I chckd out by myself.

You actually feel like you’re in Bali, lots of greenery and the beach is right next to your villa, you could literally hear the waves from there at night. Also, Canggu is only few minutes away if you miss the busy life, which I highly doubt.

Pool is not clean and much smaller than pictures show. kitchen area does not have AC and the AC doesn’t work well in the bedroom. The host gave us the wrong villa address and “the team” to “greet us” was kind but seemed a little confused when we called and needed helped getting to the place, they had no clue who I was and couldn’t help me. Seseh is much nicer and quiet than usual Bali spots. The villas just made our busy so much better. Very private and perfect spot to relax. Enough eateries/bar close by so you don't have to walk far. Beach very close. Would stay longer if we could have!

We had such a beautiful stay at Max's accommodation. The villa is so lovely and a very short walk to the beach. There's a nice bar near the beach and you can walk to the main canguu area along the beach however it does take around 45mins casual walking. The concierge service the villa offers is great and we got a private driver to take us round and he even helped my partners proposal to me! A stay we will never forget!

My partner and I spent 4 nights in Villa 1, the staff and management were so welcoming, organised and always had a smile whenever we would see them. I’d say it’s even better than the photos and loved the open/outdoor bathroom. Tucked away just outside of Canguu in a very beautiful spot with rice fields everywhere on your drive down the road making it so nice and quiet and away from all the busyness. 10/10.

We stayed at this villa in Seseh on two separate occasions during our visit to Bali. The villa is great and the staff are very nice. Large wedding venue close by which played music late into the night on a handful of occasions. Otherwise, super peaceful and can hear the ocean from the villa.

This villa was very clean, well located just 15 mins away from the busy Canguu and we were very comfortable. It was spacious and well decorated. Putu and the villa staff were friendly and let us store our bags after checking out so we could enjoy our scooter rental a little longer. Definitely a nice place to book if you are in Canguu area :) The General Store and Seseh Pizza were EXCELLENT! And the cafe right beside too.

We were so impressed with our time at Max’s place. The attention to detail was fantastic. It provided us with a great place to stay and relax away from the busy streets of Canggu. The local coffee shop and restaurants provided fantastic eating options too. We headed into Canggu proper on scooter which was organised with our host and it took about 15 minutes. We look forward to coming back!

This was our first apartment on our 14 day vacation in Bali. We couldn’t choose a better place! The house is absolutely gorgeous, the beach ( most amazing black sand beach with little to no tourist!!) is 5min walk away, caffe is 2 min walk so you have everything on hand. The pool water is also great temperature! If we ever come back to Bali, for sure we are coming back to this place!! Thank you for help and everything! :)

Prachtige prive villa waar we erg warm werden ontvangen en alles tot in de puntjes goed werd uitgelegd. De inrichting is prachtig. Wat je op de foto's ziet dat krijg je ook. Lekker rustig afgesloten van de drukte maar toch dichtbij de toeristische gebieden waar je zo bent met de scooter. Op 2 minuten lopen sta je tevens op het strand. Vriendelijke staf die het huis elke dag kwamen schoonmaken. Ontbijt kon je bestellen en kwamen ze brengen. Scooter en excursies werden voor je geregeld wanneer je hierom vroeg. Super mooie locatie die ik iedereen zal aanraden. We zijn hier 4 dagen gebleven. Een aanradertje.

The villa is very clean and looks 99% similar to the picture. Dani and the other villa staffs are very helpful and friendly throughout the whole stay. Location wise is also very good, but expect dark road surrounding the villa at night. Overall very recommended place to stay if you are looking for serene and quiet place for the stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lumahi Villa 1. The villa is gorgeous, perfect for couples looking for a little getaway in Bali. It's in a quiet area not too far from Canggu (an easy motorbike/car trip), and so close to Seseh Beach! The villa was very clean and looked just like it did in the photos. I could not get over the bathroom, the big kind bed, and the pool. The air conditioning and fresh water machine were also a plus! They also have caretakers who offer to tidy your room up to once a day upon request. The villa manager, Dani, was very friendly and welcomed us into the villa with a big smile (even though we didn't get there til very early in the morning!). He was very helpful with services we may have needed, including concierge services, motorbike or car rentals, massages, housekeeping, and any other questions we had. I would definitely recommend! Thank you Max! :)

Sublime villa! Le lit est immense et confortable. La manager du lieu est très réactive et au petit soin de chaque demande. A noter que c’est une villa ouverte sur la nature, donc il ne faut pas avoir peur des bébête. Pas de problème pour nous et nous avons même était surpris, quelques chenilles et fourmis dehors mais pas de moustiques et rien dedans. La villa est à 20min de scooter du centre de Canggu, nous ne pensions pas que c’était si loin car cela paraissait proche sur la carte. Mais c’est calme et globalement nous recommandons !

Loved my stay here. Santi and the team were wonderful hosts and checked in to see if I needed anything often. It’s a beautiful space and the flowers were a lovely touch. Seshi beach neighbourhood is low-key and relaxed with the beach right down the round. I loved the community feel and catching sunset each day. Really good restaurants and cafes around too.

This place is amazing- absolutely what I expected based on the photos. This host was a highly responsive host. Specia thanks to Mbak Santi and Mbak Rai both of them are really helpful. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and they make sure to change towels everyday. The location of this villa is perfect- literally a few feet from Seseh beach, and at night I slept quite well listening to the waves. If you are considering this spot- book it! I did a 5-night rest here and I am so glad I booked my time here. This place is safe, comfortable, and well located, and the numerous small, thoughtful touches put it over the top. I will definetly be back here for another break, thank you Maxime for sharing this great villa
