We had a great time in Max’s place. Really good staff and really good outdoor area. Really liked the outdoor bathroom vibes. Just something to note is on the toilet system. The flush pressure was quite weak for some of the toilets and we were stuck using two toilets for a couple of days. Max was very responsive and got someone out to review this issue twice after complaining, but I don’t believe it was fixed properly in the end. Little bit of wear and tear in the house, but overall stunning place, comfy beds and wonderful staff.

We had a great stay! The villa felt like our own oasis. Loved the private rooms and set up of the property. Great aircon in the bedrooms too! The staff were amazing right from checkin and super quick to respond when we needed anything. The spa treatments at the villa are a must!! We felt a bit far from the main area and thought that “5 min drive to the beach” meant it would be walkable when it really wasn’t. We found we sat in traffic for a while each day just trying to get to the main strip of cafes, restaurants and shops in Canggu but that’s how Bali is at the moment. Just wish we could’ve walked more. It was difficult to catch a taxi in the area as they aren’t in abundance like in the Batu Balong strip or Seminyak so definitely get the Grab App! The main road the villa is closest to is really busy but once tucked inside the villa it’s quiet & serene. Also a few really great coffee shops within the ally the villa is located which is great! All in all a great spot for our group of 6 😊

Very nice spacious house. The rooms are private and we didn’t hear much noise at night. There is a nearby laundry store and small kiosk selling some basics. It was nice to come back to in the evenings after the hustle and bustle of the Bali streets. A cleaning lady came nearly everyday which was super convenient.

A few friends and I stayed at Maxime’s place for 7 nights in early November. We loved the villa, it was a great place to unwind as it’s so private, and looked exactly like the pictures. Villa and pool were cleaned daily and bottled water, fresh towels and bedding were provided regularly. The concierge service was very accessible for any questions that we had. Access to canggu beachfront is easiest by gojek, but there were plenty of grocery shops and places to eat in walking distance.

Brilliant stay!
We loved staying at this villa. The three bedrooms were lovely and all three very spacious. It was nice to have the bedrooms separate from the communal areas. The communal area was amazing, the pool was great! We had a private chef for one night, the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. We wish we had this every night!

I had a great stay at Max’s place with my friends. The villa is exactly as listed and looks the same as photos. The putu Indri was extremely friendly and helpful. They would always respond whenever we spoke to them and helped us book activities. The villa was cleaned and tidied 6 days a week and the pool was cleaned twice a week. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Great Villa! Lots of room for us to all lounge around. The concierge service was prompt at replying and met all our needs. We arranged breakfast to be prepared in our villa for 2 mornings and both occasions the lady was lovely and the food delicious.

One of the nicest villas we had stayed in during our 3 week holiday in Bali. Host was kind and very responsive! Villa was tricky to find as maps doesn’t always work correctly but the Villa staff were so patient and guided us to the Villa by sending helpful info and phone call! we originally booked another one of Maxs places in canggu. when we arrived, the place STUNK, air cons didn’t work, dust and dirt all over the floors and caving broken matteress. we spent hours trying to contact max and his team to make this right and they didn’t care - the only solution they gave was that we pay more to upgrade to this place which we had to do, and even then they didn’t let us check in till almost 10pm, keep in mind we checked in to the first place at 2pm. this place was nice, but aircon had poor circulation in one bedroom and we had an infestation of 6 frogs and 20+ cockroaches in one bathroom. the more cockroaches we killed the more arrived. (the other bathrooms were also outdoor and were fine, we also stayed in ubud jungle with another host with an outdoor bathroom with no infestations, so this is not fully normal). the pool was nice, the layout and decor was nice and modern. it is worth noting that all properties have different owners so it’s a hit and miss.

Somehow the Villa looks even more incredible in person, the outside area and pool were just incredible. The rooms were spacious with strong air conditioning. The staff were so friendly and Max was a super attentive host, very quickly responding to any questions or queries. Thanks so much !

I would recommend staying here but to lower expectations from what the photos show.

Wir haben unsere Zeit sehr genossen. Das Haus und der Pool sind sehr schön. Das Personal kümmert sich wirklich um alles, oftmals bemerkt man gar nicht, dass Sie überhaupt da sind. Auch ansonsten kann man sich mit jeglichen Wünschen an Sie wenden. Super Service! Mit dem angemieteten Roller kann man viele Ausflüge unternehmen. Wir werden in jedem Falle wieder nach Bali kommen!

Max was amazing and very responsive throughout our stay. Additionally the concierge service would respond to any requests or bookings with in minutes, they always came through with great options at great prices. They really made us feel looked after and took the stress out of anything we needed arranged. The villa is exactly as you see on the advert. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was a great size and very clean. The in villa dinning was exceptional and very reasonably priced, easily beat the surrounding restaurants for taste and freshness!

Villa Imbuh - a place to relax
Overall it was a very nice relaxing stay at Villa Imbuh. The communication with the host was excellent at all times. The living and pool area was stunning. Loved the serenity. The gardens and Villa were well maintained with daily cleaning. The only thing is that the location is a bit far away from the heart of Canggu. We had to get taxis to go anywhere and the Main Street was astronomically busy! I would definitely stay closer to the beach area of Canggu next time as I found there was less traffic and more options for dining and bars.

Great place to relax and close to lots of things. Staff was great and we had a good time. I do suggest using motorbikes or smaller car parking is a little tight. Villa is well cared for and very spacious. Lots of outdoor living. We had a wonderful family vacay here.

This is my fourth stay at a villa in Bali, so it allows me to compare this villa to some of the others I’ve stayed at. Overall this place is amazing, with a good sized pool, spacious living and dining areas. Nice deco and pleasant to live in if you don’t plan to move out of the villa too much. There are loads of facilities like massage, scooters, etc. the manager can help arrange when you’re there. The helper is friendly and comes in between 9am to 1pm yet provides us a lot of privacy. There is no security guard. The manager is your main point of contact. The pool is about 1.6m deep at the deepest end. There’s a convenience store at the main road about 5 minutes walk 2-3 mins by bike. Pepito supermarket was nearby too about 4-5 mins bike ride away. Moving on to some of the concerns we had; The bedrooms are good sized. Queen x 2 and 1 king bed. One concern here was there was only 2 pillows provided for each bed. That’s one pillow per pax if you’re sharing the bed. The beds were nice and comfy but I struggled to sleep with just one pillow. The aircon in the master bedroom was not cool despite it being at its lowest temperature. Probably because of its low BTU when the space of the room is large. In the other two rooms it was okay. The master bedroom bathroom toilet lights kept tripping. After the second day we gave up and used a torchlight and showered in the dark. Lastly the villa is about 10 to 15 mins ride / taxi ride away from the livelier Canggu area where there are lots of cafes and eateries (nearer to Finns beach club stretch). To Seminyak it could take up to 25 mins depending on traffic. so it really depends on what kind of a stay you’re looking for when choosing your villa. If you like being closer to the action, this might not suit you, but if you like a cosy place that feels like home, great hospitality, clean and plan to stay in the villa more, this place is for you and it’s awesome! A big shoutout to the helper who took time off her after work hours to accompany us to the police station and waited for us till we were done. We had to make a trip to the police station due to an unfortunate incident which has nothing to do with the villa. Hoping all you readers have a pleasant stay in Bali. Cheers!

This Villa is perfect for 6 people wanting to hang out together in the big open kitchen and living room next to the pool whilst still having their private little house/room. The staff was wonderful and always helpful at any time for any reason. To get to all the restaurants its only 10-15min by roller. We didn‘t miss anything there. We would always come back!

Such a cross of feeling outdoors thanks to the outdoor concepts of both the living room area/ kitchen and bathrooms. The rooms are beautiful and spacious equipped with aircon and the outdoor bathrooms make the whole experience a bit more magical. Staff looking after us every day so still felt like a hotel experience but more private. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!
